$2000+ M1 garands on EE

It's all a response to the fellow who wants $1950 for a his garand that is not worth anywhere near that. The guys, like me, who watch garands like a broker watches the market, saw this ad as outrageous and some of the fellows posted WTS ads with stupid prices in reponse. Except for the original $1950 WTS ad, the rest are jokes.

Rest easy, prices have not jumped in the last week. They're plenty high already...

I'm not a fan of these sort of things however. I think crazy ads should just be quietly ignored and left to die on their own.

After speaking with Purple, I re-adjusted my pricing. I really had no idea what the rifle was worth, but he took the time to put a detailed description of what it is and worth.

I'm surprised no one didn't just PM me and let me know I was out to lunch. My trader rating shows that I've had no problem dealing with people. I was surprised at the crap storm this created. But, it has been adjusted and all is well....

Your free to ask whatever price you want. If people don't want to pay that price they should ignore the ad and it won't sell. Don't flood the EE with spam ads, it just wastes everyones time.:HR: I don't know when the seller ever set fair market price anyways, selling has always been about what the buyer is willing to pay.:rolleyes:
 
Nah, I can see where people are coming from with stuff being priced ridiculously. I pulled the ad for now, Ill think about it a bit more. Purple, Bart and Jdman have been helpful, Ill re-list it later on in the week..

What a headache...

And a needless one; you priced it for what you thought it was worth (great looking piece). If you did not receive a single inquiry you would have probably revisited the price in due time or decided to keep it.
