$20000 For a 1911????

Ha! all this talk of desecration.......I can do better, I'd Strip the NAA down and install original Norc parts in it hehe!!!! :D:D

and of course, get Airsoft rails and drill the frame to mount it with Fake silencer can (oh yes i'd thread the original barell) and then put on a FAKE C-more :)

And maybe, use some Krylon paint from Canadian tire to "digital camo it"

There.... Flame ON!!!!

But seriously, it should stay in a Museum for ALL to enjoy :)

Just think what it'll be worth when the Libs finally get back into power, go ahead with their handgun ban, seize it without compensation, Bill Blair displays it as part of a gang takedown news conference then tosses it into the shredder.

;)

:(

I'd have to sell my car, wait a minute, that's kind of tempting - then I could get a beat up pick up, I'd be the first guy in history to take a gun to the range in a vehicle that was worth less than the gun.

I don't know about that, I believe it is Armedsask (could be wrong, been a long time since the crappiest car thread) who has the current record for the vehicle worth the most amount less than any gun driven to the range theirin. Even if he took a Nork M213, he'd still be behind the game.

Forgot about Armedsask - he's almost my hero, in a vaguely disturbing sort of way :D

Thankyou for the link, to answer the other members question yes a 45 cal luger which was one of four originally produced under supervision by Herr Georg Luger himself sold for close to one million USD, the luger was returned as the potential brokers sent the luger out to be miked and sized for future replicating, the new buyer found out and under the threat of a law suit the funds were returned, to bad the potential boosters did not end up in the hoosegow for fraudulent intent.

Two 45 cal lugers were destroyed in the 1900 US test trials , the lugers were pitted against the venerable colt 1911 which eventually became the official side arm of the US forces,I know men that have paid in excess of 20K for Lugers so the colt definetly has value, the key here is authenticity gentlemen not rarity.

Two 45 caliber lugers still remain, one was in Canada for many years but now both reside in the US and are known as the Aberman and the Norton 45,s.

So, I see the holy grail of 1911's that was up in the EE is "SPF".

Wonder who the lucky buyer is?

:) CGN has some serious members.

Maybe look for that gun at an IDPA match coming near you?

Zing!

Hmm, I think I'm going to buy that pistol. Does anyone want to buy a boat, two 4runners, a 69 VW notchback, a '30 Ford sedan, my wife's new bike, my son's lego, my daughter's dog, my dog, my wife's Rolex (bought new in Mexico this winter), a bunch of fishing tackle, and my modest collection of full stocked rifles?

What is a 4runner?

I will take the notch back :D

Thats a seriously nice handgun.

I was flipping through the EE and saw it, then didn't believe it at first, then counted how many guns/ organs I would have to sell to afford it.

I ended up determining that if I sold all of my organs and about 1/2 of my collection I could just make the cost, but I backed out because I just can't justify selling 1/2 of my guns. The organs are a different story... but the guns... I just can't bring myself to sell them. ;)

Sombody on CGN is a seriously lucky dude. He better never fire it and only touch it with gloved hands. Hopefully whoever bought it will treat us to some high resolution pics when he gets it.
