So it's January 2014 and I just realized that many of us have been in this community from 2002 when Greentips brought me on board, and then through the 2004 forum re-start (new software, IIRC)

You guys got me looking back and thinking! :D

I still believe we are the biggest and friendliest community here on CGNutz, and Norc quality had something to do with that because I've come to meet a shzt load of you 'new' M14 experts. If it was not for the silly QC of the Norc platforms, many of us would not have crossed paths. We were brought together for a reason !

You guys have stepped up your M14 game and bought a few of them (Chalkriver has 6 of them Norcs). Along your journey, you have discovered, made mistakes, JB Welded yer fingers together, hammered your digits while trying to remove that flash suppressor with a cold chisel/ball peen hammer on the bayonet lugs, spilled Acetone on your shoes, installed the bolt on backwards, etc, etc, etc.

I've been doing these clinics for over 10 years (started in 2002) now and I'm over the 45 count (or is it 50?). We have come a long way. Many of you have attended my clinic a few times now. Many of you are trying your hand(s) at the more advanced tweaks like glass bedding, rebarreling, stock changing, and all that fun stuff that I cannot cover at a single day clinic. :)

I had something to do with that. The rest of us here (lurking, posting, learning, contributing) had something to do with that journey also.

Just to give you an idea of what's happened over the past 10 plus years , I compiled a list of clinics as part of the journey:

Barney, you've always been generous with your information and quick with your wit. Thank you!

I bought my norc based on comments, tips, and reviews posted here.

I very nearly did not buy my norc based on comments, tips, and reviews posted here.

It's a dichotomy in steel.

But it has been fun.

My poor mans Garand.

Thanks.

I took 2 buddies to one of your clinics and never looked back... thanks for making this the most fun gun(s) we have ever bought

Well said Barney !!
Thanks for all the help , support and corny jokes .
Your pay it forward attitude has made a big difference in our community.
And I am down to owning just 3 of them now ...lol

You the man !!

My 2007 Marstar 'bang stick' was at the Ottawa 2008 clinic... Tuned her right up with Hungry aka Tactical Teacher & have never looked back!

Thanks dude, for everything you do for the community!

Cheers

Barney thank you for the many years supplied with education, help and dedication for the shooting sports across Canada in general, and of course our M14 addiction here on CGN in particular.

Thanks a lot, Barney, for your insight, help and generosity! I wouldn't have enjoyed my M305 so much that I bought another one without your guiding hand.
