Hey guys. I'm a black rifle guy so pardon my ignorance here but I've got a like new condition (don't think it's ever been fired) Marlin 410 lever action. The shotgun is JM stamped and is from the days before the freedom group take over. It has a tiny 2mm scratch on the barrel but otherwise not a single, sent or mark on the gun. As far as I know, these were made for one year (2004) and production stopped after the Remington merger. I'm thinking of selling it, but not really sure where to start exactly. Anyways, any input is appreciated. Here are some pics for reference.

I think its wildly known that anything Marlin, Rem, Bushmaster was much better product before they were bought out by the freedom group. Its also been my experience with Remington

The QC issues were only during the three years following manufacturing transition... all reports over the past eight years or so, are that the quality is excellent again. There is nothing special about your gun, $1000 is a fair price for both parties.

Dang, Andy needzs tuh pack ahh "git awf me lawn" type chewter.

Whats DIFFERENT ? about a 2004 JM stamped 1895 410 and a 2020 Model ? RJ

There were issues during transition, but from what I've read, they have upgraded to CNC equipment and the quality is as good or better than JM stuff. You need to check DOM on newer stuff to ensure its not a transition piece.

That what I thought as well. But I just had my brand new 336 replaced on warranty, was very unfortunate.
