Today I submitted the 'Request for Match Sanctioning' to IDPA HQ and the 'Match Copy' to the Area Coord for the 2007 Alberta IDPA Provincial Championships. This will be the first sanctioned major IDPA match ever held in Canada! :canadaFlag: :canadaFlag: :canadaFlag:

Anyhow, the Match Copy calls for 14 Stages and 164 rounds.

It will take place on Sunday, October 21st at the MVMA range west of Olds.

Joe T. (Corp. Punishment) and I are co-Match Directors.

Stay tuned for more info......

(All this, of course, is 'pending approval')

Mass would you email once you have your sanctioning in place. There are a couple of us who are prepared to drive over. How are you for SO's? The fellow I will be travelling with is also certified.

you must be qualified to at the minimum "marksman"

Who died and made you Match Director?

In accordance with Appendix 6, para F of the current rule book, Novice classed shooters will be allowed to compete in the 2007 Alberta IDPA Provincial Championships.

BC PRovincial match next year will allow those qualified "Marksman" or better.

Dragoon I am responding only because bluesclues used the word "Provincials" in the plural.

If you are going to quote the rule book then here it is:

"MDs may approve novice class shooters to participate in the sanctioned match. This is not mandatory. At the National Championship, only those shooters classified as Marksman or higher are eligible to attend."

So if I want to do the BC Provincials next year I gotta get my "MM". Gotcha...

Mass, when is the next classifier for us? The 229 is here and I am going to get to know her this week and next.
