2007 Norinco M14 miss feed issues

Hi, ive been to the range today and my M14 is starting to have some miss feeding problem sometimes it loads the round sometimes it dont and the rounds are sometime jamming in the the bolt open half in the mag half on the feed lip. it looks like my bolt isnt going far enough but recked it everytime and it screwed in ok. Im using standard Winchester round 150 grain.

Do you just have one mag? Most times it's a mag issue in regards to feeding issues.

and sometimes it can be as simple as the way you fill the mag- you can get one round wedged against another, and the first one is the only one that feeds- that's why we do the "back whack' and make sure all the rounds are seated against the rear of the mag

I'll switch mags I have 7 lol I used just one last time when it did that ill try the tap thing to. I'll report back. thks

I had the problem the OP described, and the "back whack" seems to have solved it for me also.

I've had this type of thing happen to me, back whacking as it's called helped when I was using factory ammo. One of the other issues I had was because of pressure and timing, the bolt would carry the next round most of the way to the chamber and the hammer would hit the pin but action wasn't completely closed, resulting in just a click. You basically had to hit the bolt forward for it to work.
