I just received a 2007 Knight's Armament RAS and I noticed a few changes compared to older (2005, 2004) models that I owned.

Looks like KAC replaced the rear locking hex bracket screw with a flathead screw held inside a sheet metal retainer to prevent it from falling out when unscrewed. A nice addition considering that most RAS rails in US service are missing these screws:

The leaf spring seems to have been redesigned with a different forward gas tube guide:


The panels are also marked with a cage number:

KAC stuff is addictive.
