The match went off without a hitch and the weather held off long enough for the 16 competitors to complete ten exciting stages!

Results for the match can be viewed at the Terrace Rod & Gun Club website.

Denis F. pieing the corner on Stage 5: Anglin'. Denis received a procedural at this point for failing to engage the targets in tactical priority. Denis finished Top Overall in ESP(by .72 seconds) and Top ESP Marksman.

Roy V. engages the bad guys from low cover with his strong hand on Stage 6: Officer Down, while Westicle looks on. Roy traveled to Terrace all the way from Washington State to take part in the match. He finished as Top International Shooter as well as Top Distinguished Senior.

Wayne G. came down for the shoot from Fort St. John, along with Tyrone, Wes and Ron C. Here he is engaging targets in tactical sequence on Stage 8.

Me engaging the bad guys on Stage 7. The car was loaned to us from a local resident. I finished Top Overall in SSP, Top SSP Sharpshooter as well as managing to squeak out Most Accurate with 19 points down, edging out Bob B.(Canuck44) and John R.(John in BC) who were both 20 points down.

The gun club president, Ted R. He only got off two shots with his .45 Norinco before it broke, and was unable to finish. Being the class act that he is, he remained for the rest of the day in order to make sure everything ran smoothly.

Hey guys I had a really good time at the shoot you guys put on a class act. It is going to be very hard to meet or beat the bar that you have set. Once again thanks for letting us Fort St. John Boys come up and do some shooting

Any time, Ron. It was a blast. I just hope I'll be able to make it up when you guys host a shoot.

And remember: when the SO says "Is the shooter ready? Are you SURE you're ready???" make sure that your gun has a loaded magazine in it. :p

i was going to ask how you got a cop car to use but i see you included that in the pictures

looks like it was a good shoot, wish i had the chance to travel to it

Actually the "cop" car was prior to the shoot a cab once removed from a cop car. A friend of Dave B. painted it up and put an old light bar on the top. Painted in the old Black & White colours. Was really quite neat. The boys had a gas driving it across the range with the lights going. The ultimate prop!

Looks like a fun match but i have one question i see in some of the pics that the shooter is not wearing anything that cover the firearm and mags i thought that you had to wear a coat or vest so the firearm was not seen

The picture you are referring to was Stage 8, a Standard Exercise. Standard Exercises like the IDPA Qualifier do not require the use of a cover garment.

It was indeed great fun! You guys certainly set the stage high for anyone else hosting a shoot. Wayne and I enjoyed the shooting and meeting you all.

and taking Top CDP and Top Novice as well can't be too bad for braggin rights......

had fun hopefully you guys do it again next year because I do not think it could get any better... hell I even got to do first aid before goign home,

went for a beer with a buddy at the northern motel Sunday and an 81 year old blind native guy had fallen down and hit his head on the ground.... attended him for 15 minutes before BCAS arrived...

ad of course dave tried to get me drunk thrusday night, but I was not falling for his sly tricks.... ;)

Well it was fun getting high score on the shoot :p but it's not like getting bst by an 8 year old at your home range .........must improve must shoot more .........or find someone who shoots worse than me

Thanks again for making the trip down.......was just talking about you yesterday with Craig from Hydro. He's down here at a meeting......worst part about putting on a shoot like this is that next year we have to go one better.....lol.....Talking to Bob this am we are going to have a sanctioned shoot again next year but calling it the "Provincials " is still up for grabs.Lot of work but well worth the effort.
