GOt back today from a 5 day hunt, I had a grizz permit but never did find much for sign of them, let alone spot a grizz. Regardless it was a great time spent in the mountains. I had many chances at black bears, but just wasn't wanting to spoil the hunt by having to go home early with the meat.
Here's some pics.
Entry into the zone
first big bear of the trip - shoulda killed him in hindsight
spent lots of time behind the binocs
got some midday rest (later I found out I was laying in an ant pile
)
I liked this bear..shoulda killed him too. He was not afraid of me at all
this one also showed no fear, and moved in to 15 yards of where we stood on the road by our ATVs
wolf in camp
bridge sign chew toy for grizz
sunset in the mountains
