2008 IPSC Nationals Website Link

I also sent about 200rds as a precautionary measure,...where/when do I pick that up?.. I sent it tothe address on the website. Can I pick it up any day on the range?,..or do i get it with the Canadian BDX ammo ( the 200rds is BDX ammo as well FYI)

We arrived this evening after a 4300km trip...

Checked into the "alternate" match hotel the Pepper Tree Inn
THEN CHECKED OUT!!!!

I would not let my dog stay there!!!!!

While I was checking in some CRACKHEAD tried to break into our car.....WITH MY WIFE and KIDS STILL IN IT!!!

The room looked like it should have chalk body outlines and STANK of piss and ####

Some guy was cooking in his room with a coleman stove below our room!!

While we inspected our room we had 4 guys inspecting the car!!!

Tried to get into the match hotel but as you may suspect it was booked.

They suggested the SANDMAN hotel down the street.

GEE!!

I AM SPENDING $10 LESS than the pepper tree and it is at least 2 notches better. The pool is great and they have SECURITY!!|

So far my impressions of lethbridge are less than favorable. Got turned around and ended up downtown. Crackheads aplenty!!

Did find some nice areas on the way to the hotel but the negatives thus far are in the lead! Hey nothing to go but up from here!

I noted another IPSCer checking into the peppertree.....all I can say is SLEEP IN YOUR Car!!
 
nice stages,..I tanked my first two,..and then shot good the rest of the day. Time to drink some beer:)
 
Cliff Meek won production by a couple points,..Nick King 2nd,...and i think clint came in 3rd..
 
finals will be posted sometime Monday. it will depend on when Kevin gets home and gets a chance to get them up. he is hoping for before noon.

What a great match! I place a high value on other peoples time so a big thank-you to the organizers and workers who gave up days or even weeks and months to make this happen!!

Nice to see lots of old friends there too. Not that they're old, just havn't seen them for a long time LOL
 
A big thank-you to the match organizers and sponsors. I also want to thank the match officials. I roomed with a person who was an official and he was up and gone before me and back to the room well after I had finished off the beers. I think all the officials worked no less than 12 hours each day and on some of the days much longer. You guys and gals truely made a sacrafice. I know you didn't have the time to get your mental game in shape and definately missed out of the comradery with friends you only see a few times a year.

I have a vew vids of Doni Spencer in the shoot off,..Sean Hansen vs Mike Burrell,..and Rob Elliot vs someone....and a few others that I don't recall the names....and of course a few vids of my stages and some revolver and standard shooters. the door stage was a heater. I have two of Mike Kelly,,,Annaconda and the door. Mike came in 8th even though he had about 8 or 9 jams through out the match.
my downfall was the Snake stomp,..which was my first stage (yeah, you have to actually step on the activators LOL),..which led to my trashing of the Reverse stage,..lost a good 100 points on that..:redface:
Other than that I had a few decent stages.

Great match and hats off to the organizers and range staff.. THe prize table was full of great stuff,...I got some Ghost mag pouches off it,..
Thanks to the retailers who donated much $ in prizes!!
Can't wait till next year,...
I'll post some vids soon,...maybe tonight.

Congrats to Walter and his whole team on a job well done. Exceptionally well done, actually. I had a great time guys, and my hat is off to all of you who worked so hard to bring it off so well.

I have to go practice now.....obviously.
