Thanks for the support Quigley.
I really am not a whiner...but I also am not a sheep. I know this is a volunteer sport, and I do volunteer. I took the RO course less than a year after getting my BB, and hope to do the CRO course soon. I help when I can - but it's on my terms as I also have a life outside of IPSC.
I know that I'm not the only person that feels that people should not be forced (voluntold?) to work a match. Every club seems to have it's core of workers that pull a match together. More people need to be encouraged, enticed, or tricked into helping.
Attitudes like the post above, with the large bold font, and the blah blah blah really rubbed me the wrong way, and does nothing more than try to belittle people. I have shot the Quebec Provincials in the past and you may be one of the great people I met at the match, but I will not work for you.
I still stand by what I said earlier (and this is just my own opinion) >> If you want to host a major match, and you feel the need to force people to work by threatening to not score them, then you need to re-think your desire to host the match as you obviously don't have the support you need.
Your attempt a humour had the the IPSC Ontario President shaking his head, and the Regional Director trying to confirm that you were joking. I'm certain you were joking................about the beer & women, I am concerned that any arbitration on the matter is already lost.
In the end, neither one of us will lose sleep over this - I will not be shooting your match...........this year.
For the record, I am not a GM or M - just a lowly B (I think) or maybe a C.
It's late and I'm ranting - anyway, good luck with your match - I sincerely mean that.
