2008 Whitetail

Its been a pretty good season so far.I was lucky to get a Nice Mule Deer and now a Whitetail.I am begining to like that Sako 270 WSM I bought from Mylesrom.I switch to 130 gr Barnes it sure helped on the meat damage.

Nice deer for sure, I do love Whiteys. Congrats on a successful season.
Are you saying that the 130 grain caused meat damage or by switching to them, you have lessened the meat damage?
I really love that country around Grande Cache. I have spent some time up the Kakawa and Muskeg rivers. Has that Hwy 40 gotten any better? I remember that it was a bad dirt highway before, for some ways at least.

I just bought the Sako from Mylesrom.I have never had a short mag before they are an impressive cartridge.No in my post on my Mule Deer I used 130gr Nosler ballistic tips.The meat damage was pretty bad.I changed to Barnes.Check the thread below
