Got to go out this morning for my first ever Antelope hunt. I managed to pop one at 200 yards after a 40 yard belly crawl to the crest of the knoll. It was a fun hunt as I ended up shooting with goats all around us looking from 15 yards away to the buck that was harvested at 200 ish. I was shooting my new Savage .243 with an A5 stock.
I ran it in to the taxidermist, after the CO's that I stopped to show them my buck, said that it was the biggest one that they had seen in the area. The taxidermist estimated it at over 80" but will call after it is scored officially. Now I might have to sell a rifle to pay for the mounting .....
I will try to figure out the picture posting to let everyone check it out, I am pretty stoked.
