Normally the winners of the soldiers cup will make up the team (Canadian Forces Combat Shooting Team (CFCST)) but this year Australia is letting Canada put two teams in.

"the team is selected from the results of the Canadian Army Skill-at-Arms Meeting (CASAM), Soldier's Cup team event annually which is conducted during the annual CF Small Arms Concentration (CFSAC). The competitive component of the team will be constituted from the winning Soldier's Cup team (8 shooters) which will be augmented with the two (2) top Army members in the Combined Fire Aggregate (combined Service Rifle and Combat Pistol competitions)."

LFWA is providing the second team and 3VP is tasked to provide. Team training is 20-24 Apr at Edmonton Garrison.

Who doing the training for 3VP?God knows thier trainer last year didn't have a clue.

Last year 3 PPCLI did not send anyone to CFSAC, AASAM, CENTSAM or AFSAM and did not provide a trainer to any rifle teams. Must be someone else that was clueless...

They were PPCLI and from Edmonton. That is all I know.

Milcun has been contracted this year for AASAM coach duties. They will not be providing any coaching to LFWA prior to the Comp but will be down in Australia for the controlled practice.

the boozer is busy every night. Put a good one in last night with BMW.

Aussie's are great and we are shooting on par or better than most of them. The Asian professional teams are doing really good. Indonesia won the Champion shot today in international class. The Philippines are kicking serious butt with bushmaster M16A2 and irons.

Looking forward to tomorrow, service rifle matches 1-4.
