Gord - thanks! (BTW, minor quibble: 14-22 August 2009).

At this point we have 241 people firing the Grand Aggregate. The official deadline for entries has passed (28-June), however we still have a handful of spots left, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Looking forward to meeting old faces once again, and also to seeing some new ones too.

Cheers,

I don't know where the time went but I just got my entry in on the weekend.

See you there Dan !

Who else is going this year?

Andy

Hi Daniel, we're bringing two guys from the west. We're harnessing the team and got a new tarp for the wagon. See you all there.
Cheers, Glen

...beer night at the DCRA for all the CGN's that will be there?

What a great idea! We'd need to find an evening that will work. Even though there are ten evenings, many of them are already taken up (e.g. Meet 'n' Greet BBQ 1st-Saturday evening, Semi-Annual General ("Kickers") Meeting Sunday evening, provincial teams dinners Thursday evening, MacD-Stewart dinner Friday evening).

For what it's worth, the marquee tent will be set up behind DCRA Headquarters Building this year; the idea and intent is for it to be more convenient for shooters to use as a social venue.

I wonder if we should make "CGN_Beer@DCRA" a standalone event, or hold it in conjunction with another event? We could have a "CGN corner" during the Meet'n'Greet, or perhaps we could gather for a beer(s) an hour or so before the Kickers Meeting (hard to say if that would nicely spice up that meeting, or totally torpedo it...!!! ;-)

I'll leave it to somebody else to act as social director and arrange this (Tom....? ;-), but I think it's a great idea.

How about Tuesday night? That way we can hear all the sob stories about everyone's Alexander of Tunis Match and the Letson. We could start off on the veranda with a cold one and see where is goes from there.

Looking forward to meeting all you guys in person, Tom, Gord, Matt, Daniel and the new guy (new to me anyways) Andy. I'm driving down with Glen Taylor and we leave Monday Aug 10th for the drive down. Good shooting over the clear blue pond Matt, way to go man! If we do not meet up, you should be able to easily ID me by my range cart, plus Glen and I will be side by side most of the time, looking for the smoking area LOL.

Nice cart!
Just need to add
1.Flag
1.Cooler
2.Boom box
3.hammock
4.Headlights/foglamps for those early foggy starts or late finishes
5.Fenders&Mudflaps
6.a bikini clad young coed with strong legs to push it around in front of you all day long

Just 1 question.....how many miles to the pint???(hightest)
See ya there
Gord

Thanks Gord, the flag is already on my hat, the boom box(MP3) is under the spare barrel were the drink holders are, and you can't find two trees close enough together here in Sask to hang a hammock so I just use a 3 legged chair. Funny you said fenders, I was thinking of that one already since the front tire does toss dirt on my rear bag if the ground is wet and as for the coed, I will see if I can hire one of the cutest target girls to push it for me LOL, as long as she doesn't want a real baby in the stroller too, I'm done with babies and kids, I hope and prey.

See ya there,
Keith

Keith, I'm sure you'll like Andy K. And you'll have plenty of time to chat with him in the smoking area!

Drink holders and coolers, mmmmm, I miss shooting F-Class.... ;-)

Hi guys, I think a meeting would be a terrific idea. Mr. Rumbold has expressed an interest in discussing strategies, as a group, for means to increase attendance at the CFRC. This could take a while so I hope they've got enough beer.

Just about done loading and am now in the process of shirking all familial obligations and contractual assignments. That's the hard part.

Went through the load list with Keith. I think I need a bigger wagon.

Cheers, Glen

Hell Glen ... just convert your sighters like you usually do (and save 10% of your reloading) - have fun at the meet! 'Course, your meds and the creature comforts that you've become accustomed to in the East will increase your haulage! Enjoy!

Bill

Tuesday sounds good to me. It will give us time for warmup events! Sure couldda used that cart at Bisley! You do some walkin' over there! I'm rolling in Friday night to shoot on Saturday. Is everybody doing the Roast Beast on Saturday night?
