Anyone know when opening Day will be? The regs haven't been updated from last year yet and there is nothing on the OFAH website. The only thing I can see that might give a clue is the last before season OFAH Seminar is April 26 and the after season begins seminar is May 2 so I'm assuming it will be somewhere in between.

Unfortunately, Turkey's have a pesky habit of moving around a lot. Although, it is nice to get a general sense of where they are now, I doubt that the same number, and pattern will be present come spring time.

You said it...they always show up where you least expect them! Thats why I guess we call it hunting and not rendevouing.

Anyware in Southern Ontario. The bird population is increasing. I have been seeing more and more birds every year.

Go through and look at what WMU got the Fall hunt this past Fall. Obviously the MNR thinks the bird population is good enough to support increased harvest. ( or that th people in those WMU's are terrible shots and need a second chance!

Nope.. there are some WMU's in the "northern area" of "southern Ontario" which do not have a season yet (Eg 49)
check the regs for the complete list..
As for the dates.. you don't need the 2009 regs. it's right there in the first section of the turkey hunting for 2008..
