Round count to date is 7200. The initial 4000 ish were rapid fire with lots of high heat cycles and (looking back at it) very hot handloads.
How would one check their barrel for wear? I have no idea.

I really can't recall.compared to when you bought it originally (if you recall).
What kind of groups were you getting at around 1000 rounds fired?
What kind of groups are you getting right now?
What should the typical barrel life be for a stock 2009 Poly M1A?
My shot patterns have been getting progressively worse over the last few months so I'm just curious.

I really can't recall.
It hit it's peak at around 3-3500 with the best Lapua hand loads I could muster.
It would float around 1 to 2 MOA (as long as I did my part)
Was able to get .5 MOA from time to time (and I mean from time to time)
Struggling to get 6-7 MOA. Significant enough to post this thread. Same loads, same shooter, same rifle.
will give you 50 bucks for it, if you come up with shipping.
What ya think man?
Will that work with the stock flash hider in place? I've never removed it.Muzzle wear gauge
Throat erosion gauge
7200 rounds, that's awesome. I'd say that's testament to the durability of the rest of the rifle. Anything break or wear out during that time?
