Are 200 or even 220 grain bullets available for .303 British? my grandfather told me once that he could get 150, 170, 175, 180, 200, and 220 grain bullets for his .303. the 200s and 220s were for moose or bear. factory loaded ammo is still available in 150, 174, and 180, but I havent found and 220s or 200s. Anybody know where I can get some? Answers to this are :welcome:

The orig. bullet for the .303 was a 215gr. bullet....today, I only know of cast bullets avail. in those weights including the Lyman #314299 at 205gr., though it may be small in some bores.....some .303s don't care for it.
It is a little more difficult to find bullet molds for the .303 as it is not popular in the USA, where most of the supplies come from(molds).

Steve at .303british.com is or was making 200 grain bullets. The original 215 grain bullets aren't available any more. 180 is as heavy as factory loads get. Mind you, any 174 or 180 grain bullet will kill anything you care to hunt. Slug your barrel first.
