200grain ipsc load 40S&W (Glock)

I shot 200 gr out of an STI, not glock. I had several loads. One on VV and the other on tight group. The TG load was 4.1gr I think but with a very long OAL. If you are shooting for IPSC I know it can be sucessfully loaded for minor out of an XD but havent seen it out of a glock.;)

40 S&W will easily make major, especially out of a G35. Sorry I don't have any specific load data but all 180 and 200 gr factory ammo is well over major. All your brass will be fine, many times over.

Thanks Braiot

I was told to give the 200's a try. Less recoil?

I'm going to do some testing before I order alot of bullets

I would like to offer some advice ( maybe not needed ).
A member of our club made up some 200 grain loads a couple of years ago.
He seated them too deep, must have got really exteme pressures as be blew up the gun. Barrel was a write off plus some other parts.
He was lucky & only got minor damage to himself.

200gr is not a good idea for std.lenght, when combine with fast burning powder eg. TG, not to mention a Glock which does not have a supported chamber.
