This year's Ducks Unlimited Fun Shoot is fast approaching and I just wanted to extend a friendly invitation to one-and-all to come and enjoy a fun-filled day of shooting and comradery. Everyone is welcome to shoot either the full sporting clays course or just enjoy a few fun games while browsing the silent auctions, raffle tables and live auction, which this year will include a guided goose hunt.

This is a really fun shoot. If you haven't shot a lot of sporting clays but would like to try this would be a good event to attend. I know the target setter and for this shoot he sets reasonable targets for occasional shooters. No eye tests, no short windows or tight pairs. There will be a couple of challenging, but not impossible, stations.

Bring your guns and have some fun.

Aren't they calling for rain sat........or does it not rain in that corner of the woods.
A friend and I are wondering about coming down.Should I bring my 50th anniversary Ducks Unlimited winchester 101 to shoot, mayby it will find the target better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We shoot rain or shine. The only thing that shuts down the fun at Galt is an active electrical storm. When that happens it's not a good idea to be out with a 32" Italian lightning rod. Besides it's a Ducks Unlimited shoot and what duck hunter hasn't hunted in the rain? ;)

Very little chance of rain so far and it looks like it will stay that way for now! besides, my wife does a mean anti-rain dance so that will bring blue skies! :)

I would like to for you to come just so I can get a look at that Winchester 101(drool!!)

This was the first time I had shot sporting clays, or really any clays besides in my own yard. It was tons of fun and I learned lots from the people there. I look forward to doing this again in the future!

Now that you know where Galt is don't be a stranger. :)

And for those who didn't come out because of the forecast, the weatherman got it wrong. Not a drop of rain in the sky.

Kudos to Cunha1 for all the hard work he did in putting together a great shoot.

Thanks Claybuster, I had a really great time at the shoot and I have to say that it was really refreshing to see so many new faces this year.
Congrats to all those who took home some good raffle items and a very big thank you to all those who opened up their wallets in support of the ducks! Can't wait to see you all out there next year!

Well, I finally have a little free time to finally post up a few pictures of the Fun Shoot last weekend! We had a really good day with an even better turn out! I saw a lot of familiar faces and quite a few new ones which is always nice to see!

Various silent auction, live auction and raffle items on display!
