so HOW WAS YOUR YEAR IN REVIEW, AND WHAT DID YOU MISS OUT ON

Sorta grew the rimfire arsenal this year.......

Remington 572 Fieldmaster

2 Remington 550-1 Speedmasters

Remington Model 12A Pump

Norinco "Browning takedown" Clone

Cooey 600 (yet another one)

But, most importantly, this was the year I scoped most of my scope-able rimfires...:dancingbanana:...last year was mainly iron-sights :yingyang: , after all.....:D

a mint S&W police 3000 12 ga.
Savage mk2 .22 LR with a Boyds tacticool stock (to be completed !!)
Anschutz match 54 that I sold without even try it

And now, I WANT A SCAR IN .22!!!!!!!!!:p

Not alot in 2010:

1) Custom Stock for my Anschutz 1712.
2) Cooper .17 HMR with all the bells and whistles (as many of you have already saw :D)
3) Volquartsen Deluxe in .17 HMR

2011 Wishlist:

I am planning on having a bit of a 'dry' year since we will be having our first child in March and I can only imagine they are a little pricey :)
All I am planning on doing is scoping my 2 new rifles and if I dare to dream...... a Volquartsen .22 LR with a Carbon Fiber Barrel and McMillan Sporter Stock.

Started buying rimfires this year, kind of a new thing for me, shooting cheap is fun.

Picked up;

Remington 597, 3-9 scope, VQ trigger.
Mossberg Tactical, BSA red dot.
Savage 93R17 FV 17 HMR, 6-18 Pine ridge 17 HMR scope.
Ruger MKIII Target, BSA single lense red dot.

Should be it.......... till 2011.

I have been re-building my 3 BSA martini 12/15 rifles that I have had for over 20 years. Finally found a guy in the UK that has mint to new BSA wood and butt plates. So now I have to wait for the wood.

I bought my first gun this year.

It is a beautiful Savage 93R17 JTV (not listed on the Savage site but looks like this one) and put a very nice Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40 scope on it. By far the best scope I have ever used.

The "Not alot" part is a joke in this post...I hope. :)

For me, sold my Savage .17 HMR in favor of a CZ 452 Varmint in .17 HMR. Seeing them side-by-side, it didn't take long to be bitten by the CZ bug. The most I've ever spent on a rimfire, but I'm thinking the decision was good. Other than that, sold my Winchester 9422...almost bought a Winchester Wildcat...almost bought a JW 15A shorty. In the past month, I've gotten to know my like-new (but almost 3 yr. old) 10/22 a bit better. Decided the triggers on the stock guns suck a**. If I'm going to keep this thing (and I plan to) it'll need some trigger work.

That's it...unless Santa brings some $ for Christmas...might try to find a JW or a little Leupold Compact for my 10/22.

Bought a Rem.597 but didn't keep it very long. Picked up a new 10 22 and put a Dlask 16.5 heavy barrel, Hoque stock, target hammer, extractor and Nikon 2x7-32, oh yeah and bipod. A used New Model Single Six rounds up my year.

Not too much this year:
Ruger 10 22
Rem 597 VTR
Norc M14
2x SKS's

All cheap stuff this year

Jefferson, will be nice to see how Feinwerkbau shoots, as one version has it that they make barrels out of old steel, made before new laws requiring a percentage of recycled steel be used.

Regards,

Peter

I landed a pair or Mauser ES340b's. I'm only hopeing the new year brings a DSM34, KKW or a repeating Mauser .22 A guys gotta dream...

2010 Rimfire

Here is my Kimber Mini Super America. It is in mint shape with a Leupold 3-9 EFR in Warne rings. Target turrets installed. I found out after I bought it there were only 35 of these made!!

I shot my single shot cooey for the first time in 10 years. Then after rediscovering the joy of rimfire I went and bought a used 10/22. I liked it so much I went and built a custom target type rig from the ground up!
