2010 Turkey Contest

Sure I'll give 'er a go, going on my third season and nothing to show for it. Should have more time to commit to the effort this year. Good luck to everybody - hopefully I'll have some numbers to post.
 
Well I bought a tag a few weeks back and actually went for an armed stroll today............with my dog..............starting about 11:30..............yep I am hard-core. :dancingbanana:

Might as well tag along for the laughs, and to see who is doing some actual shooting............

PS to grnhawg............your TomTalker is defective, I was blowing on it as hard as I could and it did not make so much as a cluck!!!!! :confused:

I drove right past your house Sunday! I should have stopped in. You Have to suck on them things not blow on em. I used up my holidays already or I'd come back up there:D:D

It was touch and go for a while and I actually got busted by a hen in the process, but this guy stuck around long enough to get a shot off.

I got a 21 lb Tom at 10:55 this morning. 10 " beard 1" spurs in area 78. I forgot my camera so the Farmer took some pics I am hoping to post later. He has dial up so it might take awhile. I lucked out as he doesn't want hunters on his Farm as for the most part he has caught numerous just entering on the property without asking.

I use to work on his farm when I was a kid and he said you I don't have a problem with, but just you and you have to kill the Coyotes. I said no problem :) I am retiring July 21st and I guess I have a job as Official Game Warden of a nice little Chicken Farm. Not bad aye!!!!!!!!!!!!
