Hello Skeet Shooters,

Make sure you put these dates in your shooting calender for 2011.

The Canadian Championships will be held July 8,9 and 10, 2011 at the Dartmouth Trap and Skeet Club, Nova Scotia.

I have never been to that club, but hear there is a beautiful background (read no trees).

Keep an eye on this thread and I will try to keep it updated with more information

It's nice that is has been moving around the last few years, but it is too far away for a lot of the shooters.

Including me, though I would like to visit Nova Scotia, perhaps this is an excuse to get out there, ahhh probably going to be too busy this summer with other stuff.

Start planning now and you'll have no problem making it to Nova Scotia.

Find someone to drive with, or start looking for cheap flights (they can be found).

I flew out the last time, and the amount of time is really no different than driving (call it 4 hours point to point).

I found a cheap flight, and really the only extra expense was a rental car for the weekend (which I also found a deal on).

I really don't think it is too far away, it's simply a change in mindset.

Give it a try, and I will assure you that you won't regret it.

The club is fantastic. They've been continually improving their facilities, and have recently ordered yet another set of new machines. They put on a great event last time, and I have no doubt they will do the same this year.

Brad.

never mind, just got my station 9, it has the info I needed.

Last year I think I paid Don W. in Waterford, who do we get in touch with this year to register and pay?

Dartmouth Canadians

Hello All,I'm a member at the Dartmouth club and we are really looking forward to hosting the Canadians this year. And yes,the club is beautiful with a great open sky back ground! I think you might even be able to find a lobster or two. We have just added two new sets of Beomats to increase our capacity for shooters .There will be lots to do, should you choose to bring your family along for a vacation. Go on to the Nova Scotia Tourism site and order a free Doer's and Dreamers guide to see what Nova Scotia has to offer at that time of year. Rainbow Haven Beach, a great spot for the kids,is just a five minute walk from the club . We look forward to seeing you soon! Cheers ,Brian
