Given the weather situation last year, I'm thinking about renting a trailer for the weekend this year....maybe even stretch it out a couple additional days.

We've taken the week following the shoot off from work. We too, will be looking to stay a few extra days and the more the merrier. Hopefully it's not like last year:

"Is that a snowflake?"
"Yep."
"OK everyone. Let's get the hell outta here."
*Drives 10 hours home*

Just ribbing you guys. I'm glad two other Manitobans decided to stick it our with us.

Loading my truck as we speak, now where did I put the snow shovel and tire chains.
Can't decide on which fur lined thong, may just bring them all:D

Well let me tell ya it was "MUCH" warmer at the spot Greg chose to finish the trip at....................

well if someone brought a generator that would be a godsend, then i can use my convection oven to have my morning croissant, instead of half cooked hotdogs like the rest of you barbarian bumpkins.

S...s...s...sacrifice? A sheep? Oh no you don't! There are far better ... ummm ... "uses" for them.

But not until dark of course. And quiet, with some nice soft music playing in the background.

After missing last year due to scheduling conflicts with my daughters mother I am proud to say 2010 will be my first annual gopher shoot weeke.d I have the dates booked off of work and plan to leave Winnipeg wednesday the 30 if thats alright with the property owner. If not let me know and Ill be there on the 1 instead. I plan on bringin and entire truck box full of wood that I've had seasoning since last august, a generator, small camper, coffee maker, and pretty much all of my rifles just in case. That would include my sks, m14, cooey 39, cooey 64b, and maverick 88. My premier gun will be my savage thumbhole, heavy barrelled .17. Question to KEVIN.303 and ANDREWE who I notice are both from winnipeg. Do you guys want to all ride out together(not in same car)? Im not sure which days your planning on going out but if wednesday or thursday I'd gladly come out wth you guys and or meet you beforehand. I've been wanting to meet a few fellow local CGNers but havent really had the time.

i think we could convoy, i also am planning on leaving very early on the morning of the 30th, and hoep to be coming home wednesday the 7th. you might want to rethink hualing the wood, last i heard it is illegal to transport firewood across provincial borders, due to dutch elm. as for meeting me you've done so already many times, but just didn't know it:D

you work at cabellas?? if so then I do know who you are otherwise im at a loss to guess who you may be. And good point on the firewood thing, although it shouldnt matter if I've stripped the bark off the wood as the dutch elm beetle needs the bark. Meh

N/M just looked at your profile pic. WSS, one of my favorite places to F the D while I should be working instead. My mom just picked up her new pistol(her first since I got her to get an RPAL) on Monday and she is very excited about it. Now get me those lace on cheek risers I ask about every time Im in the store... LOL seriously though, like wtf how come I can't buy a lace on cheek riser from any store locally??
