I am working around Vegreville, Alberta and having a good time shooting gophers with my boy. This year so far the holiday trailer is still intact!

I'd like next year's shoot to be a little earlier, if possible. Since the weather's going to change every half hour anyway I'd rather shoot when the grass is short.

Middle of june would be a good compromise between the early and late. Also easier to get time off then a holiday weekend.

The long grass is a little more unusual than normal, trust me... most years it is yellow & breaks when you look at at. I've shot there for more years than I care to remember.

Earlier will be harder for me to make it.

Middle of June usually will kill me for sure.. Bear season is still on... plus my archery shoot is in there, as well as father's day..

Might as well get things rolling for next year. Anybody have any thoughts, concerns or changes they want to see? I'm thinking the same deal as this year, June 30th through July 3, 2011. Canada day is a Friday. I'm also going to play hard ass this time. The bulk of people coming will be by invitation only. I will leave some room for others but your going to have to convince me you are going to come. I understand things happen and lots couldn't make it, but to drop 30 people is just silly. Especially when for 3 years running it's alot of the same folks. There were others who wanted to come who couldn't on short notice. You now have a year to get things in order, make it work.
