2011 deer season pics

Sorry they're a little late. had some issues with photo bucket but it's all worked out now. just a couple pics from this years rifle hunt.

after the first week. this is my girlfriends cousin who shot 2 of these does.

MY FIRST BUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

named him lucky #7. 7 points, my seventh deer, killed him with the 7th shell i went through this season, and the 7th deer we put on the pole.

I will note that the woman in the picture is 7 1/2 months pregnant and yes she got out for a couple runs with us. the guy on the far right with the gold prospector hat is the proud soon-to-be father. she is due january 1st.

yes we did!!! 8 in total. we got one more doe fawn after the pictures were taken. lots of missing, DOES EVERYWHERE!!!!, saw lot's of deer in general. luckily we had lot's of antlerless tags.

Fantastic!!! Real nice to see traditional hunt camps from Ontario. Noticed that the hanging style of deer hasen't changed..........brings back memories when my dad use to hunt in Renfrew/Calabougi area. Great job guys!!!

after we gut one we cut a slice above it's front hooves between the tendon and the bone. if it's a doe, we cut another slice(this can be tricky) through the nostrils as if to give it a bull ring. sharpen a good stick and stick it through one leg, the nose, and the other leg. If it's a buck we just do the legs and put them behind the rack, good ol' rigor does the rest. makes dragging, loading and hanging, (did i mention DRAGGING) the deer much easier.

since we already have the stick in it just makes a good anchor point to tie off to. but yes amazing trick.
