For the 100th anniversary, I'd like to see Colt produce a good quality replica with the fire blued smaller parts like on the early 1911's. I love the contrast between the nitre-blue controls and the frame and slide color. I'd get one for sure even if it's only a replica.

Speaking of Colt commemorative and ivory grips, here's what Colt is currently offering for around $2400 US. Very nice gun with ''A'' level engraving coverage and genuine ivory grips.

He'll just tell you that we are jealous that we can't wash our handguns in a dishwasher too. Hey, my 4 year old grandson loves his plastic pistol too. But I figure that as he gets older we can show him the error of his ways. Plus bullets are cheaper than replacing those plastic darts that come out of his pistol!

I'd be really surprised if Colt doesn't offer some kind of comemorative or presentation 1911 for the 100th anniversary. It might by pricy though!!
