2011 Manitoba Whitetail harvest

I only saw 1 doe while hunting this year, early in the muzzleloader season.
Funny thing was she had a nice 4x4 nosing her tail, on Oct 18.

When I was out shed hunting the area in the late winter/early spring of this year, I found 4 wolf kills in one day.

I hunted the ridge off the back of old 44 tonight, there were some deer tracks, but they were followed by wolf prints and they were the size of my hand. Everywhere I go on the eastside I see tons of wolf tracks, too bad I haven't had one in my crosshairs.

I've taken this little lady out for two days every year for the last four years. She's wanted to see a deer go down. I've come very close with the spot and stalk method but this year I sat in a stand. We were down to the last couple of hours before we had to pack up and I grunted this small buck in. Shot at 40 yards with my traditional T/C Hawken .54 cal. He crumpled up after running 50 yards.

Was hunting with my brother-in-law's father. On the last day I settled for this buck. Clean shot from 60 yards away with my 30-30. He dropped where he stood.
