After 5 days 4200 km and about 35 hours on foot I finally came across this second year bull. A bigger bull would of been better but with time running out my trip was comming to a end so I desided to take this fella hes not very big but sure is tasty. Dident see a lot of moose on my trip 4 in total I talked to a lot of people that were going home empty handed.

Two swamp donkeys down with smks one outta a 7mm and the other out of a 338 edge neither went more then 20 feet lol

WOW good memory that was back on 09.

Im very impressed with the Sitka Gear im wearing the Downpour pants and jacket in the pic its basically just rain gear but I am looking at buying an insulated set either the incinerator or fanatic series IMO its the only way to go

Hard to forget a crazy sob carrying a 20 pound .338 through cut blocks looking for a moose :D

I run basically all Sitka too. I'm looking at the fanatic and the downpour as my next *investment*. How heavy is the downpour material? Like is it just a shell or is there a light layer of fleece in it?

its a shell only no insulation.

We were there the middle of Oct. We had a large cow and young bull in two days. We saw 11 altogether but I think we were pretty lucky as a lot of hunters were giving the same reports as you. Did you shoot it off of one of the resourse rds? If so, which one? Congrats by the way.

I was driving and he was on the side of the springhill resourse road was on my way to that nice bog at the end of that road.
