2011 slide porting

Hello i want to do some mods to a 2011.

Does anyone know where to get slide lightening or porting done.

This work can be done by doubletap sports as well.

Portholes in the side of the slide are quite common as well as coffin top or flat top the slide and various lightning cuts can be done.

What about on a hard chromed gun? If you lightned the slide would you have to refinish it or choud it just be refinished on the cut areas?

How much can a guy lower the top of the slide and get away with it? Want to go to the Phillipinnes in Jan and have to fit in the box. Would I be able to stuff another round in a mag if I flat topped a reg Edge slide with 4mm grams basepad?

There is a limit - go too far and it will crack. STI has delayed shipment of a couple flat topped guns over the years to me because the tolerence was too little and they didn't pass QA. DoubleTap will know how far to go safely.

Flat topping won't get you any more room for an extra round - your sights will still take up the same amount of height; they're the limiting factor.

Sean is correct..I had over the past few years (personally and many of my customers) cracked Slides and Compensator's from SVI, because the SV factory had flat topped the slide (and Comp) to much. The only way you will get more rounds is by purchasing a SPS 120mm mags which will give you 18+1 and still fit in the box but as you know Canada is 10 rounds only.
