Why do F-Class matches always conflct with each other? This seems to conflict with the SPRA Drillers Match on that very weekend. I would be shooting in more matches if it were not for so many conflicts.

I think this is a bit of an aberration... The regional champ matches are new. I think it is unfortunate that there are three large matches being held concurrently, but now nobody has an excuse that it is too far to drive :)

Cochrane has a wack of new motels, Super 8, Days Inn, Best Western, Travel Lodge, Bow River Inn, just north of the river, west of Hwy 22 with fast food outlets too right on the edge of Cochrane, and if you want to spend more money, there is the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis on Hwy 40 (4 or 5 star) and others around Canmore, Banff (Hwy 1) and a ton right in Calgary. Cochrane is the closest to the range for ya. Driving from Calgary will take you 45 minutes and from Cochrane, around 25 minutes. From KCountry lodge, up 40 (paved) and then east of 68 (grid road), around 30 minutes.

Also the Stoney Nakoda Casino at the junction of HWYs 40 & #1. Range is about 45 min (60km) west of Calgary.

Cochrane will likely be the best bet, but Canmore is a great place to take your significant other as well.

Fixed that last line for ya :D

Great news on the match.....I will be there fo' sho'.

Any thought on how we are going fit 18 shooters on the line at 900?

Widening the shooting line this year or shooting from between the trees??

We stack the BC shooters 3 high ... truthfully, we did some clearing which helped a bit, and dropped the crown some. Looks much more comfy (and thanks for the edit - much better!!).

I gather theres no camping on site.

Camping will be allowed, as per normal - fire bans may be in effect, depending upon the site conditions - and we will make efforts to keep people away from the immediate 800m point and the 900m point to keep the parking intact, as well as for emergency evac if required.

We'll also allow the shooters to pick their target order (left, right or center ... or top, bottom, center if you're from the left coast).
