Do you plan out your year, well I usually try to.

For 2011 I have a few guns i want to sell but of course a fellow should shoot them first.

1. ruger thompson I bought this a year ago and yet to fire it (was used however) and my dad had a fill auto from the tenneessee national guard, one of the last ones allowed into canada, he sold it some years back so I bought one to play with, once I use it a few times it will probably be for sale, I think

2. uberti octagonal 357 pump like a colt lightning (dad had some even a 22 pump that my brother in law got and wont sell) so I bought one to try and then after a few sessions it will go probably

3. BSA martini mark 2, no sights I will shoot this a few times if I can find scope rings, boy is it heavy, what a brute, I saw this kind of gun down in the NRA whittington centre shooting facility about 20 years ago and always wanted one, YOU SHOULD SEE THOUGHT RIMFIRE CASES FLY OUT THE GUN WHEN EJECTING, as in USA I was standing about 10-15 feet behind the shooter and could feel hit every once in a while and then it dawned on me, it was the darn cases flicking backwards and hitting me, well that was neat, they are supposed to be accurate but would prefer a mark 4 I think who knows I just want to try it out then sell it boy is it heavy 12 POUNDS JUST OVER WITHOUT A SCOPE, I would have a heart attack just lifting it, and I think it was meant for prone (does that mean they could not lift it)

4. going to sell my sako quad at the calgary gun show as I bought a sako p94benchgun in 17mach2 YES 17M2 17M2 it should be a riot, and I just bought a cz in17hmr with a fat barrel, and I have a benchgun in 22 long rifle so I do not need the quad, still looking for another cz in a magnum but dont know what to buy, I thought a had a fullstock but that is a 22 long rifle so the quad serves no purpose.

5. the other neat gun I am going to shoot but not sell is a 17 pound (no scope) CZ barrel blocked 22 long rifle, I can hardly wait, benchgun

SO R U thinking along the same lines by buying or trading for a couple of rimfires just to try knowing they will go down the road the next year ???

This is not to sell them as they will not go until next year, and maybe never,

BUT WHAT IS YOUR DESIRE JUST TO TRY, I bought a Izmash toggle and sold it without firing it until the next buyer wanted to know if it worked, so I took 2 mags and tested them, neat gun but not for me.

When I die I want to try out a few on my bucket list and if you only lose a couple of hundred bucks or less who cares, at least I did it, most of my firends (OK all 2 of them) have never seen a izmash toggle, or a mark 2 BSA or the thompson, or well you get the picture,

later

NOT FOR SALE SO DO NOT ASK, JUST TRYING TO GET YOU THINKING ABOUT WHAT YOU MIGHT DO FOR THE SUMMER

I might pick up a 10/22 to use while my VQ Lightweight is on order then sell the 10/22 once it arrives. That is all I can see for 2011.

I have a Ruger 77/17 in 17Mach2 that I have a Green Mountain barrel coming for.If I like the balance and accuracy with the new barrel, I will keep it, if not, I will sell it. I also have a CZ452 in 17HMR that I just purchased, but since I just purchased a Cooper LVT in 17HMR, the CZ will likely be sold.

Might try

I keep threatening to try the hmr barrel on my quad but it shoots so damn well in 22 I might just get a 204 and forget the 17hmr all together.
And posssibly purchase a semi in 22 just for fun/project.

Going to put my 10/22 I built last year up for sale soon. Dlask receiver and 16" fluted target barrel (threaded), everything else is Kidd except for the stock which is a Revolution Yukon Extreme, only Ruger parts are the magazines. I'm building an Anschutz 54 Match action with a Lilja barrel and I'm interested in a 308 for long range shooting so I'll sell the 10/22.

i dont think ill sell a gun...ever.

if i buy it and like it ill keep it, if i dont like it it means there is something horribly wrong with it and id feel guilty as hell for selling a lemon lol

I can imagine the flood of PM's for people wanting that BSA mkII... I had my message all drafted up im my head before i noticed the not for sale notice at the bottom. Shoot me a PM if you change your mind.
I will hopefully be selling a couple martini's this year myself, i love refinishing older guns and flipping them when i come across ones that are worth it and profitable. I was going to flip my last project, a BSA model 15 but decided to keep it she turned out so nice.

things to sell

At one time I thought it was important to have at least one of all the CZ rimfire and 527 centerfire rifles. And now that I'm there I'll keep a few that get to the range or the gopher patch regularly and sell off the rest.

The first 2 to go will like be the Super Exclusive, then the Varmints, then all of the 223's. FS

I have a Mossberg Tactical that I bought, cleaned up, modded, shot 50 rounds out of it and put it away.
It may just go up for sale as I never use it.... :(
I'll also be selling a few of my 10/22 builds that I did over the winter to help support a mini-14 build i'm doing now.

Jeff it is a funny question, what to sell this year, what to buy to replace it! Well I have let go over quite a feww centrefire rifles that I thougt I would never sell, but my collection is becoming more quality than quantity anymore. I think as I am heading to middle age, the big 40, priorities have shifted 360 degrees! I ordered a Cooper custom, with all the bells and whisltles, and sold part of my collection to finance it, wanted one true custom built factory rimfire in my collection. I will probably get rid of my old Remington 40X bull barrel on the old 722 action with canjar trigger and thumbhole stock, as I have not shot it in 3 or 4 years, and my Win 52's I really enjoy shooting more. Maybe the BSA model 12 heavy with full target sights might go down the road along with the Remington, after I shoot it a bit? I bought s Carl Gustaf HVA 22lr singleshot that will really replace the 40X, so it will stay for a little while! I saw a nice vintage Colt rimfire conversion for sale in the parts EE, that would be nice to send to Dlask to make a full complete gun out of, always wanted a Colt Ace! I am sure next year the list of what goes and what comes will change along the lines of Classic well built guns nomatter the brand!cheers Dale Z!

I work part time for a gunshop, and I just saw the new Ar-15 22lr conversions and noticed the new mags are pinned to 10 shots! what a crock of S*&T! Wonder when they are going to stop making up more assinine laws? Dale Z!
PS I just came back from work, and only one of the AR-15 22lr mags were pinned to 10, we still can't figure this out?
