You know what... the hell with it.. I am gonna throw up my 4 point.... why?... because it is the first time my boy has been in camp when I harvested something... not a big deer, not my biggest deer obviously... but was my most satisfying thanks to my boy....

I am in SE ontario... buck harvested on opening day.... but as far as the rut... we are in the middle of it right now.....

Always thought the Ontario minimum was .243

Another nice Ontario buck. I shot him on November 14 in WMU 56.
He's an 8-point with 21-inch inside spread. Field dressed over 200 pounds.
I took him at about 100 yards with my .223 and a handloaded 55 grain Speer SP.

After listening to him scrape and me grunting back for an hour he finally came out about 80 yards away.
S.E. Ontario and the only legal deer we saw all week.

Regs say any centrefire in the rifle zones so you could use a .22 Hornet or even a .17 Remington Fireball.
