Finally located one thanks to CGN members sharp eye. Wanted one of these since they were announced at the Shot-show.

First 3-shot group at 75 yards after sight in produced this ragged hole. Load is 225 TTSX Barnes, 67.5gr's IMR4350,W-W case,CCI#250 primer.
Tried the iron sights first and they were dead on at 25 yards. To be honest the sights dont line up well for me but fine for back up. Scope is a Leupold 2.5-8X36.
I was quite pleased that the rifle is quite light overall. A new production .338 Super-Grade I had felt much heavier. Even form bench the felt recoil was about same as a standard sporter shooting 180gr. .30-06. Hope to put this rifle to use on my November Alberta trip for elk/deer.

Longbranch: The barrel contour is similar to the real pre-64's including the dog-knot. Did they also include the fore end screw as previously used? Seems to be a winner.

Very nice! ... Barrel length?

What other chamberings does it come in?
Nevermind .... did the Google thing.

Your bbl looks shorter than the 25" on the Winchester site.

Boy that stainless 375Magnum with 3 or 4" deducted from the bbl would be the ticket.

Beautiful rifle and the 338 is a superb cartridge .
As NAA said..... A keeper ! Best of luck on your hunting trip, I'm sure we all look forward to more pics !!

I'm not wild about the checkering on the pistol grip and the wart looks oddly shaped, but other than picking nits it sure looks enough like a Pre-64 to keep a Fudd like me happy. And it shoots like crazy which is nice as well. Really makes me cranky to see something like that when I specifically bought a Pre-64 to build a nice 338. Now I could just buy one for half of what it would cost to build it. Well, maybe a 458 is in order or will the jerks at Winchester send that one out next.

Time for some hunting pics.

Nice rig, like others have said looks enough like a pre-64 to please the purists.

On the down side, it sure screws up a guy's plans for long and exhaustive load testing!
Yes that was a pleasant surprise. Will see if I can duplicate it on the weekend. Really happy it liked the TTSX's. Might try 225 GMX's just for fun also.

Beautiful rifle there. Looks fantastic.

I got one in .375 H&H. Shoots awesome and is accurate. I love it and it is my new favorite rifle. I agree about it being not as hard to get down on the sights but after handling it for a while now have no problem and its really comfortable to shoot.
