2013 Black Rifle hunting thread

This thread has seriously got me thinking about my SKS or T-97 for deer.

IMHO neither one is an overly good choice unless you can reliably shoot 2 MOA or better with them at 100 yards and I have yet to see either to that well.

I do shoot several Brownings though.... I better see if I can find a Robinson Arms sticker somewhere.

Well another one down. Filled our last 53A antlerless tag last night with the XCR. That makes 4 this year, 7 deer total from the XCR and all 1 shot kills.

Our camp had animals taken with:

RFB (one deer, one bear)
Mini 14 in 6.8spc (one bear)
Thurion Defence 45 ACP (one bear)

not bad....4/11 animals with black rifles (6/11 if you stretch the rules to include a grizzly mag-fed with slugs)

Awesome. Every time we do this we prove that black rifles have a place as sporting firearms. Well done.
