No. A euro will do for me.
As much as I like looking at mounted trophies a shoulder mounted elk or moose isn't something I desire to have in my own home. I feel the same about a handful of other species.
I do however like deer (both species), bighorn and pronghorn mounts.

This is the one we wanted to get when we first started but I had reason to believe he was dead by the time we were out hunting. Turns out he managed to evade hunters during another rut.
For sure stop by when you get a chance...they're more impressive in person!
Hunting giant bull elk with an old pump action .30-06 with 165gr Sierra HPGK, umpossible!
Elk in a stubble field, also umpossible! Everybody knows elk only exist in completely impassible black timber thirteen drainages from the nearest road!

I guess now with all the elk meat, hunting your whitetail prior to you going on holidays isn't so bad a priority now! Just tell me where you have YOUR whitetail buck tied up and I will take him!!
Just kidding. I have not taken a decent buck since 2004 (my avatar pic). I have passed on plenty of 160's class, I'm hunting for the 180s plus. Doesn't bother me, I would rather hang the tag as a Xmas Tree ornament than shoot a small buck.
I have been out a few times with my boys after their hockey games on Saturday mornings since back from moose camp......checking the game cams, scouting, setting up for the rest of the day in one of the fields till after sundown. Boys are having a blast and so am I teaching them!! That's what its all about.
