I've had a few repairs done to my truck to get it ready for the trip too. Power window motor, AC condenser with upper and lower pipes, exhaust pipe welded back together at the resonator, change the front shocks and reattach the front sway bar (right side only has on bolt holding it but it should be fine). Then I had to change the oil, clean the air filter, rotate the tires and change the in-cabin air filters.

With all that out of the way I can now start getting all my camping and hunting gear together. I have a busy week ahead, I head out next Saturday (maybe Sunday).
 
Just found out he wife doesn't have to work that weekend. So my +1 will be there for sure.

We'll be heading out about noon on Friday, should put us there about 2:00 in the afternoon.

Rolling past Tompkins right now....I see no shortage of squeaks!!!

Due to work I am unable to go this weekend to get things ready :( I'll be out to the shoot tho. Even if its only a day trip!!!!
 
Well I have 3 days of work left, one to get my crap together, then it's go time!

Looks like the weather should be pretty nice. 10 day forecast says highs of 25-27 next weekend in Tompkins.

Well, opened up the tent trailer last night. Simply too much constant rain this spring. Spend the day getting it ready, yes, that's what I said, the day. Changed jobs last week, working shifts and not sure if my leave pass will transfer over since I am now the new guy and everyone else already has approved leave. Still hoping that gas will come down so that we can bring the truck with the trailer and that I can still make it. Postings are earlier this year, even within the wing.

Everything is basically ready for a great,weekend...again, if I can go. If we do, we are leaving Thursday morning, should get there about supper time. Everything now hinges on the new job.

Shannon was quite concerned about the gas prices, but I inisisted that we are coming, even if we only eat oatmeal for the rest of the month. I truly enjoyed last year's trip and gully expect to do so this year.

Things are getting smaller all the time.. my buddy just had to back out do to his wife's surgery being bumped up.. going to be a nice small group this year.. more gophers for everyone else I guess.
 
Jax and I will be leaving in the morning (Wednesday) and should be there around dinner time. I hope we won't be dragging the camper into a 100 km/h headwind again this year. See you all soon.
 
I checked the wind doesn't look to bad will actually have a tail wind part of the way. andrew bring a long extensiom cord. my generator puts out way more power then on camper can use so you can top up yer battery
