2013 Versa max vs 2014+ Versa max?

Other than the black rubber grip sections on the cheek, stock grip and fore grip, and the newer 2014+ models including 4 chokes, what differences are there? Why would the current model sell for almost $500 more? Any reason to avoid the 2013 model?

I think the first picture is a versamax sportsman. The second is the actual versamax. Both should be available each year, the difference is mostly the stock- rubber moulding, adjustable. the real one also includes a plastic takedown case

I would assume part of it is the drop in the Canadian dollar.

Versa Max Sportsman is the budget model that does not come with the extra rubbery forend, height adjustable buttstock and only one choke.

The sportsman doesn't have the rust protection either like chrome lined barrel and Nickel Teflon internals.
