2014 IPSC Nationals

It's the same every time it's held in BC, same as when it's held on the East coast, less BC people go there, less easterners come here. Guys in the middle go either way, for less too.
Not true... wasn't there over 80 Ontarians at Nats in BC 2011 ?

Updated competitor list: http://goo.gl/TPQqz1

Please check your division/declared PF and categories are correct. Some people have not included a shirt size and should have received an email asking for their correct size. If you haven't received one, please contact Clint with the correct shirt size or one may be provided for you.

No update in more than three weeks! Has no one registered since June 1st?

Updated list of competitors was posted this morning.
Squadding matrix has been posted and map of the range has been updated to show the locations of stages, chrono and vendors. Squad lists will be posted when they are available.

Please note the registration cutoff date of July 4.
No registrations will be accepted after this date, regardless of whether individuals are listed as being on a Provincial Team or not. If your name is not on the posted list and you are planning on attending, please contact the Match Registrar ASAP.

FYI - Registration deadline is July 4th if anyone is having last minute ideas of going.

There are over 300 registered competitors at this point - nice to see the spike in registration we got in New Brunswick maintaining pace.

Sean, any feedback on the super low Ontario turn out at this years Nats ? I'm sure it's a concern of IPSC Canada, and may want to address the matter and improve for future years.

I'm not sure how you could address shooters not wanting to go to matches? Traveling from Ontario to BC is expensive and that seems to be the biggest issue.

Travel from the eastern part of Canada to the west is expensive.
Unless you are going in the hopes of being crowned Canadian IPSC champion, there really is no motivation for "regular" shooters to attend unless you really want to shoot the nationals and you make a vacation of it.
Its a world shoot year, so a number of the people who have a spot to go to Florida, are using the funds they would have spent to go to BC towards the world shoot expenses.
The next world shoot will likely be in a country much farther than the US, so not all Canadian slots will be filled. This means qualifying for a slot may not be necessary, so missing this year's nationals won't affect your ability to go to the next worlds.

Pretty simple really.

You've asked a couple times in this thread about Ontario headcount but I don't see your name on the competitor list????
The reason you aren't going may be the same as everyone else.

This is my first nationals. Is this correct that of the three days of the main match, one of those days will be a work day? Or will there be splits?

It should be possible to register later that evening. You can also have a friend check in for you.

There will be some kind of check in at the range, and we'll have the work/shooting schedules posted online so you should be able to figure out if you need to be geared up or sleeping in on Thursday morning.
Leftover shooter packages will be at the range somewhere, but try not to rely on checking in there.

Hi Chris...It has now been 2 weeks since Registration deadline with only 2 weeks until Nationals....Could you put the squad lists on the Nationals site so we can check against the squad matrix for days to work/shoot and times please? thanks
