2014 IPSC Nationals

Working very hard to get this squadding/work schedule whipped into shape. It should be posted before the weekend.

I received the following message sent to me by Murray, who is handling the registration/check in at the match hotel:

2014 IPSC CANADA NATIONALS REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Just about time to get to BC!
You will need to pick up your registration package on Wed. July30.2014 at the host hotel from 12noon to 7pm. The package will include your score card labels, banquet tickets, souvenir t-shirt, any jerseys you ordered, sponsor materials and more. You will NOT be able to get that package at any other time or location so please be certain to attend at this important time and place.

If you are not able to attend, you will need to assign someone to pick up your package. The location is in the Murrayville Room(seriously, I did NOT pick the name of the room;) in the Sandman on 201st Street.

I strongly suggest you pick your package up around noon. That gives you time to then go to the Club, walk the stages(only inside the shooting areas and no prop handling) then come back to the hotel for the IPSC Canada AGM at 7pm. Trying to cut the 7pm registration closing to the AGM may be a problem as the gate close EXACTLY at 7pm by Murray's watch.
We are looking forward to seeing you and helping make your participation the match enjoyable.

Nice to hear we can walk the stages prior. It makes it fair for everyone and will save time in the walk throughs. The match hasn't started and BC is awesome already!

How do we assign people to pick up our packages? "Hey buddy, you live out by the valley, could you....?"

That's the easiest way.

Buddy just shows up and says, "I'm picking up for Joe Lunchbox..." and registration will make a note of who picked it up on their master list.

I forgot to mention, there will be a Division Change Request Form (including Power Factor for Classic division) at registration. If the information on your competitor labels is incorrect, it must be changed PRIOR to first shots being fired on Thursday morning. Competitors are also responsible for changing all of their printed labels to their new information. This is important as stage CRO's will be using the information on the labels as their reference to check compliance with divisional requirements during stage briefings.

For those of us coming in for the Speed Shoot (dang family weddings...you'd think they would check the IPSC calendar before picking a date) would it be possible to check the stages out on Monday afternoon?

It will be possible to come up on Monday to look things over. It is, however, a scheduled work day. Be prepared to be recruited into working. On the plus side, Monday will be a day that we are putting targets on sticks, stapling and then storing them in preparation for Tuesday so you may get to see stages with targets on them.

Squad lists and work schedules have now been published.

To more easily find your squadding/work assignment, please visit: http://goo.gl/TPQqz1
This is the alphabetized competitor list. It is also considered the definitive working document. Any discrepancies on the lists ordered by squad (http://goo.gl/BYuQbv) or by work assignment (http://goo.gl/xEHxZI) are cut and paste errors.

Note: There will be no changes made to the squadding and work assignments. Any requests for changes, for any reason, will not be responded to.

Stage results will be posted by Sunday morning, 8am on the range and on the website. Competitors will have 1 hour from this time to dispute their scores. At 9am, all scores will be considered final. Shootoffs will begin between 9:30am and 10:00am, and will involve:
  • top 8 in Open Division
  • top 8 in Standard Division
  • top 8 in Production Division
  • top 4 in Classic Division
  • top 4 in Revolver Division
  • Ladies to be determine by the match director on Sunday
Overall results are posted on the website and will be posted at the range on Sunday morning as well. Please visit our results page

Huge thank you to everyone who made this happen!!!

See you all at the Banquet tonight :)

P.S. It looks as we may get positive media coverage triggering interest to the sport as well :)

This was an awesome match! The stages were really good with many different challenges. It was great shooting with the BC open team and nice to see everyone again from all over Canada.

Two other things I really liked, you were able to walk the stages whenever they were available and they posted complete scoring updates. I wish all matches would have that.

I am not able to stay for the banquet, but thank-you to everyone involved in putting this together!

Great match! A HUGE thanks to everyone involved in helping this match come together. Not only to those who organized and RO'd, but to everyone "behind the scenes" equally!

I Agree.
Thank you to the SPONSORS, ORGANIZERS, VOLUNTEERS, MEDIA, GUESTS, and yes the PARTICIPANTS. Also to my wife and family supporting my fav sports. May I mention a few of the sponsors like Reliable Gun, Custom Reloading, DLask Arms, CRAFM, doc MD Gardner etc. Combo of IPSC BC and TMSA venue made the 2014 Nationals a success. Wooooo hooooo!!!!!
