2014 Member Sakatchewan Gopher Shoot Invitational.

Looks like deer season is over for me this year so its time to start stockplining .22 Lr and rum for the gopher shoot. As long as my shift doesn't change by then I'll have that weekend off for sure.

Just six months left!
 
A buddy and I may be building a reverse flow trailer mounted smoker this winter, complete with grill and deep fryer. If its done in time, and I can get it there, ribs and beef brisket for everyone.
 
I was gonna try and make this event a couple years ago and had to bail....... still regretting that but running the business back then and just wasn't in cards.
I'd like to be on the list for next year if you guys are still making room for new faces

if your trying to bribe me with food, i can tell you right now that will absolutely work.
 
Since it is New Year's Eve today, I can now say with certainty that this event was one of the highest points of the year for me. Thanks to all of you for welcoming me and showing me such an amazing time.

I didn't have much luck during regular hunting season this year. Here is all that I was able to get -- a running shot at a fast-departing coyote (and with a 7x57 military carbine, no less):



I guess this was the year of varmints for me!

If I can, I would love to come next year, and I have a couple of friends who would be interested in joining in, as well.

So it looks like about 27 weeks, or 189 days until they next gopher shoot. Hope to see you all again, and some new faces too this year.
