The REC7 is kinda on and off for awhile. Since sometime in 2012, there had been talk about revamping the line.
After switching from ARMS SIR to DD rail, Barrett finally make their own slimlined keymod handguard for the REC7. Another new feature is the way the gas block is attached. The gas block is threaded onto the barrel now, instead of getting pinned down by roll pins or taper pins. The rifle also spots a cold hammer forged barrel. Comes in both 16" and 9.5" versions.
