2014 Shot Show: Desert Tech MDR

I read ejection can be switched over to the other side.

They don't have a cut out for the bullets or cases on he other side of the rifle in front of the port like they do on the right side. That is why im curious to know if is actually a ejection port. If it can be switched over liked you mention then I wonder if we will have to buy a new bolt.

I am curious of how the same rifle with different bolt, barrel and lower shooting 223 will be able to handle the 308 with the same recoil springs and how it will compensate for the diffrence in bolt travel?

The booth people are saying that it can indeed convert between .223 and .308 There is a magwell adapter in there on the .223 version. As for the rest, I imagine it will need a complete BCG swapout to handle to conversion, which is likely to make the conversion kits more expensive.

I'm sure hoping that these will also be available in non-restricted... I would buy one of each since bullpups are awesome!

We have been in contact all along with DTA and they know what our requirements are.

As written by GreenTips, this is still a ways out and we will update ad more info becomes available.

I hate to say it, but honestly Kel Tec's downward ejection port seems a good deal more innovative for ambi usage than this, which seems like little more than a fancy brass deflector.
