2014 SHOT SHOW: Ruger

I must say I like the all American .223. I am more of an AR guy - this rifle reminds me of handling a slime lined ultra light AR. I can carry 2 of these all day long!

Conveniently, this is the Mini 14 tactical model that comes with ATI furniture from the factory. I like how Ruger profile the barrel ahead of the gas block. They totally took a page off the FN Minimi.

GP100 Match Champion in 357 mag. It comes with tapered cyliner, fibre optic front sight and a 11 deg target crown. Very smooth, almost too nice to touch.

I look at the stock treatment on the bolt guns, and my thoughts are that it probably pretty functional, but I hate the look of it. Now looks are the last thing I consider when picking a rifle, however, I think they could have done better.

I'd take a stainless version of the American in .22lr. It seems like the line is a success so I hope they make one next year.

It looks like a Mini 14 mag to me. If they made Mini-14's to to take AR mags I would buy one.

Love the direction ruger has gone with the GP100 match champion; my gp100 goes with me to the range every trip I make. Any more pictures or details on other revolvers for 2014?

They announced it late last year so I'm hopeful just wondering why they did not show it at the Shot show

The weak point with the Ruger American after 100's of rounds is the magazine spring. After the first one feeds not enough pressure for the bolt to pick up the other rounds.

I was in the market for the ruger American in 223 when it first came out. I was shocked they didn't offer a 223 to begin with.
That money went to another rifle. Too late - but good for Ruger. This will move some guns.

That gp100 looks awesome.
