The 2015 ISPC AB Provincial Championship match will be held July 3-5, 2015 at the Buffalo Target Shooters Association (BTSA) range located at the Homestead shooting complex, west of Calgary.
This will be a Level III sanctioned match. The match will be shot over 3 days and all competitors will work for one full day and shoot on the other two half-days. The match will consist of 15 stages (plus chrono) with a minimum round count of 257 (incl chrono). The match fee will be $165. More details and registration information will be available soon at wwwdotBTSA.ca/matches.
For those looking to do some competing and travelling this summer, the Alberta Provincial’s match is on the week-end following the USPSA Area 1 Champs in Idaho Falls, ID or the double IPSC BC Qualifiers in Prince George, BC. The Alberta Provincials is also the week-end before the BC 3-Gun Championship in Lone Butte, BC.
The July 3-5 week-end is also the first week-end of this year’s Calgary Stampede, which is easily the largest annual party in western Canada. This allows competitors who had previously thought about attending either an IPSC AB Championship match or the Calgary Stampede the opportunity to do both.
The downside of holding an event during the Calgary Stampede is that hotel accommodation will be sparse and expensive. Generally hotel room rates in Calgary will be doubled during the Stampede. Any competitors that are considering attending the 2015 IPSC AB Championship are advised to make arrangements for their accommodation NOW.
