2015 Member Saskatchewan Gopher Shoot Official Thread

I've browsed this thread and looked at the Sask. HAL website, but still don't know....

Is there any sort of license req'd to shoot gophers in Sask.?

I may be travelling through in July and am thinking I should bring a rifle or two and make a pit stop for some gopher shootin'...

If someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it greatly.
 
Plan was to take a drive down on Monday for a day trip but work got in the way.
I was looking forward to blasting some gophers with you guys again and driving around with kelly.

1200 in one day sounds crazy what was it about half that last year ?.
 
Oh gawd so much fun!
I went back to Craig's bullpen Monday morning and the owner showed up in a quad and insisted I go into the middle pasture Where we spent Saturday shooting across. On the back side of that hill was a gully where I parked and shot another 80 or so gophers in 2 hours. All within 20 yds of the truck running back and forth to the fence.
Just an epic year for shooting ground squirrels.

I like the shots where the gopher is 3' away or less form the end of the barrel.
 
So funny story. My folks have been vacationing in bc these past couple weeks and drove home on the weekend of the shoot. Stopped i tompkins to use the washrooms. Saw two guys in a yellow suv looking thing with gas cans on top and one was wearing camo. Wanted to ask if they where hunting gophers but thought that might be strange.
 
I really dislike you guys right now.
All I did was walk around the woods with too much kit on, teaching people stuff they should already know. Sweating lots and shooting NOTHING!
 
Had a great time as usual.. so did Hunter... I might go crazy on killing gophers.. but looking at the ammo case I shot 40 or so in a couple hours. I go for the visiting anyway..
