While we wait for pigs to fly, cancer to be cured and the CF to operate its summertime infastructure on a pro-active schedule, may I inquire about the specific course of fire which we may (or may hope to) expect on the Vimy range? What will total round counts be for a 500m maximum?
Probably the same as usual. Some of the matche would just be repeated.
Maybe the distance limitation should be viewed as an opportunity to incorporate things that get people off of their bellies? The 200 and 500 yard stages are often cleaned. These could be shot off of barricades. Movers could be done at all distances (it would encourage people to learn how to deal with movers properly). Movers could also be done from barricades at the closer distances. Some positional shooting could be added. A tactical themed match should have these things. In real life, vegetation and structures prevent you from shooting from the prone position more often than not...
The boys in BC are limited to 600, so they have found some interesting ways to deal with the distance limitation.

None of us do. This year has been rather difficult with so few range days.
No; the range is supposed to be closed for a few weeks for minor repair.
This is the info we have been provided.
Once we actually have a match, we will run 200, 300, 400, and 500. Round count will be at least 45 rounds.
