Dollar dropped 3 cents today. I'd expect it to drop way more once we see the oil patch layoffs in Alberta.

You can't keep an economy like Canada going with the price of oil where it's at, and some people are saying we could see $25-$30 a barrel.

I hear ya , not to derail Ryan's three but things don't look good. I'm sure glad I'm not into the oil patch. Although iron ore is at low I too fear for my job. On a side note maybe I'll get a new pistol and a few boxes of wolf

If prices get higher, I won't buy anymore, as simple as that. Guns and ammo are not on my priority list, shelter and food is, thanks. There is a reason why the Canadian dollar is tanking, the economy is doing poor.

I agree, it's hard to justify a new gun purchase when I already have some I haven't taken out in a while. Looks like I'll be shooting what I have already. I'm just glad I stocked up on ammo in the fall. It might be a pretty lean spring for some people.

Am I the only one who remembers the days when the dollar was closer to 60 cents US?

oil only makes up 8% of the Canadian GDP. we have been doing better than the US up till now. nothing ever stays the same. cycles are normal. that is the free market.
