MDTs new addition of rifle chassis for 2015
The HS3 is a modular design like the LSS with a receiver block and fore end. The buyer can then install any AR-15 butt-stock and pistol grip. I really like this design. It is simple yet highly configurable. I really like the longer fore end on this platform It has a nice flat base with screw holes enabling the addition of rails or sling studs. It has holes along the side also capable for the user to add more accessories.
The platform has a really nice V-Block bedding system and recoil lug assembly. The barrel channel is generous for larger bull barrels and will free-float. As I mentioned the fore end is 3" longer than the LSS allowing for a larger area for carrying the rile and placement of accessories and for shooting off a rest, barricade, or other item.
What really makes this nice for everyone is the variety of inlets.
The HS3 Will fit:
Remington 700 Short Action
Remington 700 Long Action
Remington Model 7
Remington Model 783
Savage Long Action
Savage Short Action
Savage Axis
Tikka T3 Short Action
Tikka T3 Long Action
Mossberg MVP
It is a relatively lightweight platform at 2.04Lbs but the overall weight will vary depending on what buttstock you choose.
Other key features:
CNC Machined in aluminum with type III mil-spec anodizing
Polymer Side Panels in Black or FDE, perhaps there will be a possibility of other colors in the future such as a green and a gray
Integrated bottom metal to accept AI Style magazines: .223, .308, .300WM, .338LM
MSRP: $499 (LA +$50)
Also, I must add, the butt stock in the pictured rifle below is MDTs design, it is their MDT Skeleton.
It features an aluminum frame, wheel adjustable cheekrest, adjustable recoil pad (up, down, in, out, and slight turn). There is also an option to add a rail on the bottom for a monopod.

As you can see, the receiver is a V design with trigger openings for the safety and bolt handle.

The Mag release is just forward of the trigger guard. It is pretty unobtrusive but large enough to release the mag without having to fidget with the lever.

Wide Barrel Channel for free floating your larger contour barrels

Rear of the chassis is set for AR-15 Style Buttstocks

I like the flat bottom of the stock, would be great for a hunter shooting off of a rest, backback, or sitting in a Hog Saddle and has plenty of room for a bipod by attaching a rail or using the swivel stud.

MDT is also offering polymer and metal AI Style magazines. They are both cheaper than AI Branded mags. The polymers are in the $40 CAD range and the metal ones range in the $60-$80 CAD range depending on capacity and round.
They are a tough polymer. To me they felt a little like a pelican case but a little smoother. Very tough I'm sure.
The polymer mags were shown in Black and FDE. The bullet channel is interesting, It is in the shape of the round. I believe that is to allow for thicker layered polymer to increase strength.
Polymer are for .308 and .223 Only - 10 Round capacity

The metal magazines are also set for AI Inlets.
They are available for 5 or 10 rnd .308, 5rd 300WM, and 5 rd 338LM
