Some Nighhawk Custom new models for 2015. Had a short conversation with the rep at the counter. Apparently each pistol is put together completely by the same person, and his/her initial is etched to the frame under the grip panel. They tracked the return rate of each person and its affects his/her bonus! Also, each pistol is test fired 3 times at different stages of assembling before leaving the factory.

wow....crude flat black and....pre-worn-tactifool finishes on what I assume are $3000+ pistols?

How.....words fail

Must be for the backwards ballcap crowd...

Those are for people that wear designer jeans that have holes in them. Some people like paying extra for worn out stuff.
no people wearing hip jeans is gonna pay 3k for this pretentious "i don't know what am I", am I tactical? am I an classic collectible? am I a glock?.... I'm joking on the last bit :)
don't get me wrong, I love 1911's but they should stay classic and stay classy with engravings all that, like a nice old Winchester. don't try to make them what they are not..

I'm gonna say no to a worn looking half arse taticool 1911, but an post-apocalyptic HK45? hell yeah

The shadow hawk looks awesome, has all the features I would want in a 1911. With the exchange rates like this right now.. ugh... wouldn't be surprised if it's gonna cost 5k.

Shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Nighthawk has been marketing to the tacticool, Costa-worshiping, tacti-hipsters for a few years now... This is just the next logical evolution.

On a side note, it is interesting to see a 1911 with an optic cutout from the factory (IPSC race guns notwithstanding). I wonder if we'll see other makers follow suite in the near future?

I do like the more modern lines NHC has. but I equally like wilson combat. However NHC seems to have some of the features as standard that are options on wilsons like the countersunk slide stop and the reverse crown barrel. IMO those small design features make the gun that much more slick.

I'm not a fan of Costa and his signature guns... actually I don't like any person's signature on any guns, therefore the Shadowhawk is cool, without the branding :D

Fender and Gibson have been making pre-warn guitar models for years. Bottom line, when your spending that kind of cash you can have the choice of making your Gun look however you want. Just another option for the person who has it all.

Probably been companies making thongs for men for years too. If you buy them, I'm totally fine with judging you on it.

I'd have far more respect for someone who buys a Norc and spends a couple grand getting it completely rebuilt from the ground up into something special. A guy like that knows precisely what he wants.

A guy who buys this is the definition of a poser...with money, but still a poser.
